Not only that, Canadian Tourism Data Collective revealed that almost 33% of Canadians are non-travelers often due to financial or health reasons, that’s almost 9M adults in Canada alone!
We took a deep dive to enlighten you and us with travelers barriers today. The Culinary Tourism and Travel Experience Survey is consists of 78 new and experienced travelers and was asked about their interests, frustrations and suggestions with their ideal and first hand travel experiences.

The results shows that high costs is our top barrier for a seamless travel experience (80.8%), followed by lack of plan organization (42.3%) and more than half of participants expressed rise in interest for having a more authentic way of travel by avoiding overtouristed destinations (41%) which influences tourists to actively search for an easier, more affordable and more authentic options locally.
